Rah....Rah....Rah

It seems that for the past few years, I have had pom pom fever. There is just something about the shape and fluffiness and overall whimsy of the things that continuously draw me in. So, when I saw this T-Shirt Pom Pom Tutorial over at Craftaholics Anonymous, I had to make one.

In a matter of 45 minutes and a few interesting steps, I turned this shirt:

Into a T-shirt donut:

And then FINALLY a pom pom.....I have a ways to go until mine look like Linda's but what a cute and neat idea. I will now give all of my to be donated t-shirts a second thought before I throw them in the pile. My plan is to use some of these puppies in my fall decorations this year, but I want to try something a little different with the next one. The tutorial calls for 1/2" strips of fabric, but I am thinking that 1" may make it a little fluffier and denser. We shall see :)

List updates coming tomorrow....I have been sewing A LOT this weekend!

Sleep tight :)

Thank you so much for the compliment!!! It REALLY is a neat idea AND easy! It still needs a shave so as I add it to the decorations, I will be giving them a cut ;)

Thank you Carly and Angela for your sweet compliments. The sad thing is that I have not yet used the darn thing in any of my fall decorations :(
