In the Midst of Party Planning...Two Orders!

Yep...I was contacted last week about two invitation orders. One was for Lauren...yes, the mom-to-be for last week. Her SIL is getting married in the spring and they are hosting a spa outing, lingerie shower and dinner for the bride to be....WOW!!!!

I created an invitation using a nail polish bottle and brush, bra/panty set and martini icons that I created myself!!! The first sample that I sent to her was using a green and lavender color scheme but Lauren wanted something a little more modern...so she selected Carolina blue and brown. I decided to layer the invitation on Carolina blue and chocolate cardstock...something that I had not done in a while. I only have thirteen to make...all the printing and cutting is done...just need to assemble these puppies! Whatcha think?

The next order was from an old family friend...this was a job that I knew that I was destined to do because Beverly contacted me at home during the day and I actually answered the phone...the number came up unknown! If she had left a message, I would have called her back in two weeks...bad, I know...we just NEVER check the voicemail at home!

The original plan was for me to create the design for the invitations and then she would have them printed and cut in an office store in Charlotte. After speaking to her and hearing the anxiety around this endeavor, I offered to have it all done here and ship the finished product to her. This was better for me, because I was able to also print her return address on all of the envelopes.

For this 50th birthday party invitation, she wanted to use silver and black...I added the red accents on a whim, and she loved them. I decided to use red on the return address on her envelopes...that will be a surprise! Whatcha think?

This was my first time EVER using an office store for color printing and I must say that I was IMPRESSED!!! The cost was economical and took VERY little time. I was hoping that they could cut them there too, but they were backed up. I will definitely look to try the "printing by someone else" again in the near future. Now that all 100 of those invitations are cut and ready to mail, I can now get back to some party planning!

Have a great evening!
