Turkey Day Digs

Those folks that REALLY know me, know that I am true southern girl at heart. I like big bows in Kayden's hair, all things gingham and smocked, monograms and holiday themed clothes :)

This year, I decided to make Kayden's dress for Thanksgiving. I ordered a pumpkin patch from an online buddy complete with her three letter monogram. I added the patch to a black/white gingham a-line jumper that I created myself. I will be pairing the dress with a white peter pan collar poplin blouse (still trying to figure out why that basic shirt for Kayden was $25!!!!) and some orange hairbows. She will be pumpkin-licious on Thanksgiving...and no, that is NOT a word...unfortunately :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Did you buy the monogrammed pumpkin or have someone make it? Love the dress and can't wait see pictures of her in it!

Mary, thank you for your compliment on the dress. I ordered the monogrammed patch from an online friend. I am trying to convince my DH to let me buy an embroidery machine but they are MUCH more expensive than the serger :). I will take pictures of her in the dress on Turkey Day and send one to you :)

My friend has a really nice sewing machine that has software you can download to do embroidery and applique... it's really nice (and yes, it was expensive!). Good luck convincing him :) Can't wait for the pic!
