Sewing, Printing and Wrapping...OH MY!

What a busy few weeks it has been around our household. I have been sewing and printing handmade gifts, wrapping presents and packing some for shipping. That is a lot of work for a woman that also has a full time job, a VERY understanding husband and a busy almost three year old.

One of the crazy tasks that I decided to take on this year, is sewing baby clothes and a layette for my daughter's new doll. The items are turning out so cute and I will post some photos of this sewing project before Christmas.

I am so happy to report that sixty Christmas cards have gone out; there are still about 15 to 20 left to send***sighing***. Now that folks are receiving the cards, I want to share a photo of what we ended up with! We took the picture ourselves at our home next to our tree. We set up a tripod, set the timer to ten seconds and said...CHEESE! I am happy with how they turned out, but plan on doing just a photo card next year! These things were WORK! I printed the text inside, printed the return address on the envelopes, added the photos, punched holes and added the ribbon...PHEW!

I also prepared and mailed six packages this year. This does not seem like a lot, but the number doubled from last year, which was just three. It makes me sad to mail packages, because I realize how many dear friends do not live close to us. I am praying that 2010 offers us some visits with those that are far!

I am looking forward to sharing photos of my handmade gifts, but will not do so until after the holidays because some of the recipients have been known to stop by the blog...you know who you are!

Nakira,
You are so wonderful and such a blessing as well! We received our card and package today. Please be patience with me. I am terribly late this year with getting things out due to all of the "goings on" around here! I love your Christmas card photo and I am truly love the gift! It is so thoughtful and something that will be used. I cant wait for hubby to get home to share it with him!
